As proof of concept for the series, we made one short movie or a pilot if you will, called "The Brats and the toy thief" with a run-time of about 12minutes, It had its Premiere in 2013, at a local Short movie festival named Kugoma, and has now been featured in Several International Festivals, including, Portugal, Italy, Kenya, Macau, Germany, Mauritius among others.
In 2014 it was nominated for best African Animation by the AMAA Awards (Africa Movie Academy Awards), this was excellent news, and totally unexpected.
This short was made without any budget, or main intent was to learn how to make a "longer" movie and to show that in Mozambique there is know how to produce animation with International Quality.
The project was featured on the news, on local and international news papers, and it's been great to receive all the praise from fellow filmmakers and friends in general.
